Appointments

circled_dayThe practice offers a range of appointments to suit patient needs:

  • Book on the day - these appointments are booked on the day from 08:30 by the admin staff. To book, please call 0208 979 3306 and arrange with the admin team.

  • Advanced appointments - these can be booked up until 3 weeks prior if you want to carry on with the same GP.

  • Telephone appointments - telephone appointments are available in advance with a GP. In some instances, the GP may specifically request you to book a telephone appointment.

  • Hub appointments - these are routine and telephone appointments offered by local GP surgeries (Teddington Memorial Hospital & Essex House Surgery in Barnes) when there are no convenient appointments at our surgery. Please ask receptionists for further details.

  • Emergency appointments - are offered daily for emergencies only.

 

Did you know that in July 2017 we had 91 GP appointments and 35 Nurses appointments wasted due to patients not cancelling the appointments they are unable to attend?

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to offer that appointment to someone who really needs it.

 

Phlebotomist (solely take blood samples)

Blood test appointments (morning only) are available at the surgery on select days.

*Alternatively, print off your blood test form at the front desk/reception to take directly to Kingston Hospital (1st Floor, Outpatients Department) to have the test done there.

Guidelines for fasting blood tests:

1) Absolutely nothing by mouth (except water) for 12hrs prior to test

2) No alcohol for 48hrs prior to test

3) No undue exertion for 24hrs prior to test

4) No smoking on morning of test

5) If on insulin, there is no need to fast.

Nurses

Appointments are available Monday to Friday. Our nurses have specialist clinics including sessions for cervical smears, child immunisations, dressings, injections, spirometry, ear syringing, asthma, travel advice and family planning. Please ask the receptionist for advice if needed, when booking your appointment.

Healthcare Assistant

Specialist clinics are available for diabetic checks, blood tests, spirometry, INR, ECG's and smoking cessation.

Other specialists (Midwife, Dietician, etc.)

These are separate clinics - please ask at reception or call the surgery for advice.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Thank you.
